During the offseason, much was made of Pittsburgh’s chances after the Steelers waved goodbye to Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown.

The drama surrounding the duo threatened to unravel the franchise from the inside last season, with the Steelers going 9-6 as they missed the playoffs for the first time since 2013.

Bell eventually moved to the New York Jets and Brown took his off-field shenanigans to the Oakland Raiders, but there were concerns about how the Steelers would cope without the two Pro-Bowl talents.

If the first two preseason games are anything to go by, Pittsburgh has dealt with the departures very well.

On Saturday, the Steelers beat the Kansas City Chiefs 17-7 to secure a second win in two preseason games. Patrick Mahomes was held to a punt, a fumble and two first downs in nine snaps, a remarkable turnaround given the reigning MVP threw six touchdown passes when the two teams met in Pittsburgh last season.

Nine snaps might be a small sample size, as are two preseason games, but there have been plenty of positives for the Steelers so far. With Bell and Brown gone, the franchise appears to have been able to focus on football again after spending considerable energies in dealing with off-field issues.

On Sunday, the Steelers take their 2-0 record to Nashville, when they take on the Tennessee Titans.

Mike Vrabel’s men lost their first preseason game on home turf on Saturday, falling 22-17 against the New England Patriots and dropping to 1-1 this summer.

Vrabel rotated three of his quarterbacks against the reigning Super Bowl champions, giving minutes to Marcus Mariota, Ryan Tannehill and Logan Woodside.

Mariota finished six-for-nine for 63 yards and a touchdown, doing his chances of remaining the starting quarterback for the Titans no harm at all.

The second overall pick of the 2015 draft was hampered by injuries last season and there’s a perception Tannehill, who was acquired in the summer, could take Mariota’s spot.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Sunday.
